Alisa Vickrey, PA-C (she/they) began practicing family medicine in 2015 at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency with a focus in community medicine, for which she received teaching awards for her approaches to community medicine with medical residents and students.  After experiences working in rural Alaska, she began her own healing journey with cancer, which led to the completion of an Integrative Medicine fellowship with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. Alisa’s training in medicine is grounded in evidence-based medicine with a psycho-spiritual and holistic approach. In her practice, she recognizes the pathos of the majority of common chronic disease as a result of chronic inflammation. She also understands the role of lifestyle, the environment and the gut microbiome play as a keys to our health. In addition to acute and chronic disease management, she is a trauma informed and LGTBQ+ informed healthcare provider available to manage mental health; including medication management, and supervision of medication weaning.

Alisa is also a certified Level 2 Reiki practitioner, and certified yoga instructor (200 hour). She has research interests in mind body medicine including yoga, meditation, psychoneuroimmunology, plant medicines, sound healing, neuro-feedback and bio-field sciences. She enjoys all things outdoors, singing, playing music, cooking healing foods, being a mother to her son, and living in Alaska.
