Christine Sagan, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner in private practice since 2007. It has been her dream to open her own clinic, and Vitae Integrative Medical Center is a reflection of her vision and values. She is thoroughly excited to offer a fresh place for healing.

Christine specializes in treating the entire family, with special expertise on women’s health, hormone treatment (for men and women), nutritional counseling, weight loss, thyroid disorders, endocrine imbalances, chronic disease management, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, IBS, SIBO, GI disorders, adrenal imbalance, fatigue, allergies and pediatrics.

Along with the management of long-term medical conditions, she performs annual preventative exams for adults, plus wellness and sports physicals for children. Christine is enthusiastic about her work and has a positive, hopeful outlook for each client. She especially emphasizes the holistic aspect of health care and enjoys partnering with her patients.

Education

Christine earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage, gaining induction to the Sigma Theta Tau honors society in 2007. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Institute of Functional Medicine and the Alaska Nurse Practitioners Association.

A strong believer in the value of constant growth, Christine regularly attends continuing education conferences in Alaska and the Lower 48, where she keeps up with the latest research in healthcare. She has also been a regular lecturer at the annual ANPA conference in Anchorage, where she has discussed topics including testosterone replacement for men and women and irritable bowel syndrome.
